The use of polyaluminium chloride (PAC) mainly includes steps such as dissolution, dilution and dosing. ‌

Dissolution and dilution:

Solid polyaluminium chloride: Usually mixed with water at a ratio of 1:3, and then diluted to the required concentration by adding 10-30 times of clean water. When dissolving, it is necessary to add slowly and stir continuously to ensure complete dissolution. ‌

Liquid polyaluminium chloride: It can be directly added to a certain amount of aqueous solution for dilution.

Dosage:

The dosage should be determined according to the turbidity of the raw water. Generally speaking, when the turbidity of the raw water is 100-500mg/L, the dosage per thousand tons of water is about 10-20kg. For water purification, the dosage of liquid products per ton of water is 5-100 grams, and the dosage of solid products per ton of water is 20-25 kilograms. ‌

Precautions:

Dissolution equipment: Dissolution equipment and dosing facilities should be made of corrosion-resistant materials, and avoid using sewage or oily wastewater for dissolution. ‌

‌Storage conditions‌: Liquid products should be stored in a dry, moisture-proof and heat-proof place, with an effective storage period of half a year; solid products have a storage period of two years, but they can still be used after being damp, but the effect may not be ideal. ‌

‌Water quality characteristics‌: Before use, it is best to conduct a small test based on the water quality characteristics to determine the optimal dosage. ‌

‌Mixed use‌: Water treatment agents from different manufacturers or different brands cannot be mixed and must not be stored together with other chemicals. ‌
