Application of calcium formate in the construction industry

In the construction field, calcium formate is mainly used as a rapid setting agent, lubricant and early strength agent for cement. It can significantly accelerate the hardening speed of cement and shorten the setting time. It is very useful in winter construction, which can avoid the problem of slow setting speed at low temperatures. Calcium formate can also make cement reach the design strength as early as possible and improve work efficiency.

Dosage recommendation: Add about 0.5~1.0% calcium formate to each ton of dry mortar or concrete, and 2.5% addition is usually sufficient. In winter, as the temperature drops, the amount of calcium formate can be gradually increased. Even in summer, an addition of 0.3-0.5% can produce a significant early strength effect.
