Ethylene glycol butyl ether acetate can be used as an assistant coalescent agent for latex paint, which makes it widely used in colorful coatings and emulsion coatings. Mainly used for metal, furniture paint solvent, can also be used as protective paint, dye, resin, leather, ink solvent, can also be used for metal, glass and other surface cleaning agent formula, can also be used as a chemical reagent.

Ethylene glycol butyl ether acetate is mainly used in high temperature porcelain and high boiling point solvent of printing ink, and also used as an assistant bonding agent of latex paint. It can be used as the solvent of screen printing ink and the solvent of polystyrene coating printing glaze. It can also be used as an azeotrope for the separation of alcohol and ketone.
